Say no early
A badly set-up project shows at the scoping stage. Saying so costs an engagement; keeping quiet costs a reputation.
The name and the mark
Swiss law requires a sole proprietorship's registered name to contain the surname of its owner. Hence the full name, on contracts and invoices. Day to day, the brand remains ACX: that is what appears on the site, in emails and on deliverables.
The mark says what the firm does. Two peaks and a waterline, enclosed in a circle: we build upwards, but on a stable level. The line is the only red part of the logo — it is the base, and it is what holds up everything else. On a dark background the strokes turn light grey and the line keeps its original red.
What we hold to
A badly set-up project shows at the scoping stage. Saying so costs an engagement; keeping quiet costs a reputation.
A decision that isn't written down does not exist. It will be replayed, usually by someone who wasn't there.
The credentials, the code and the infrastructure belong to the client from day one. An exit route is not a paid extra.
We say what happened, we fix it, we write down what was missing. Nobody was ever reassured by silence.
Milestones
Short, and that's fine: three true lines beat a page of reconstructed career history.
UpGreg in operation, Kailo Location in development, and passing on the know-how becoming a service in its own right.
Three specialised machines, a continuous integration pipeline used without exception, safeguards written down and built into the contracts.
Years designing and running applications inside larger organisations — that is where you learn what breaks in production.
Thirty minutes, no obligation. You will know whether it is workable, and who you would be working with — the same person from the first day to the last.
